Peyronie´s Disease belongs to the group of fibromatous disorders and with an incidence of 2 % it is a rare disease. Although it was first described in 1743, the etiology is largely unknown and there are still no causal therapy modalities available today.This book is intended to provide a current overview of the various aspects of the disease. Basic knowledge is covered and new therapeutic methods such as extracorporeal shock wave therapy and surgical procedures with modified techniques of covering the defect after plaque excision are discussed.
